  1. I suspect I'm a little late to the party on this one, but nonetheless, as a PSA for those that weren't aware: March 7-10 WNY Sport & Travel Expo WNY Sport & Travel Expo Location: Erie County Fairgrounds in Hamburg, Event Center, Expo, Ag-Grange and Marketplace Buildings Time: Thursday 12-8pm Friday 12-8pm Saturday 10am-8pm Sunday 10am-4pm Admission: Adults $10. For all of you outdoor sport enthusiasts, come and check out the new gear and take in a seminar or two for all of the latest tips on Hunting big game or check out the bass tank, sponsored by Cabela’s! Hunting, fishing, seminars, family fun shows and retail galore! This is the show you don’t want to miss!
  2. I assume you are referring to the Prosper Brewery in NT? Which sportshow?
  3. This could be an event at the summer GTG. Need a panel of judges and one or two people to handle the logistics of administering the blind taste test samples. I volunteer for the latter as I have a poor sense of taste. On second thought, make people who want to enter bring enough jerky so everyone can have a taste. Then do a floor vote with everyone yelling for their favorite. More fun that way.
  4. I am sure they are tasty, but they look a little stubby.
  5. Moog, I can't find the vhs flavor Viper scope. I found PST, HST and HS. The HS has a Dead-Hold BDC (MOA). That one has the subtension increments you sent me. Is that the one you suggest for me? I think it's a good fit. The other one's have fancier reticles, but I'm no sniper.
  6. I need to figure out the difference between the vortex Viper vhs and the vortex viper pst. I am used to BDC style scopes
  7. The new land didn't happen, but I have the old land to work with. I suppose I could use a tracking dog . . . . I have to deliver in the field, that's what makes a hunter.
  8. ~20% difference in weight. Thanks for taking the time, @Bionic
  9. Bionic, silly question, but would you be able to weigh each of the tumblers? I'm curious if the Yeti has more steel, or if it insulates better for other reasons.
  10. It is interesting all the different ammo options for this caliber, and how they are used for different types of game, et al.
  11. Challenge accepted! Note the pic does not includes duplicates and uninsulated water bottles.
  12. I will follow this with interest. Note to those that missed my comment in the other thread: I found these on clearance for $2 at the Walmart on Transit Rd near Sheridan. I should take a pic of my thermos collection . . . .
  13. Haven't used it yet. The product description and reviews only talk about using it for water/cold drinks. Given the style of lid, I think it would be dicey to use for hot liquids. You looking for one for coffee/tea? Also, fyi, several reviews complained of rust forming inside the water bottle. I guess they are made with steel instead of aluminum.
  14. We will have the ceremonial toast and skype chat in your honor.
  15. Nice haul. The Outdoor Products stuff has a lifetime warranty, as does some of the Ozark Trail stuff (I know the red water bottle for sure has a lifetime warranty; I picked up two of them at Walmart for $2 each on clearance the other day.)
  16. Not to thread hijack, but I thought the SAFE ACT mandated a $10 FFL background check fee for private party sales. Or is the reality that an FFL won't do it for $10?
  17. When's a good time on Sunday? Before dinner? After dinner? I imagine there are family obligations to schedule around.
  18. More like appealing to it. I didn't put "(beer)" in the subject by accident. So if I buy the first round, will you make an appearance?
  19. Saw this at https://stepoutbuffalo.com/buffalo-beer-buzz-prosper-brewing-opens-in-tonawanda/ The Russians (And Their Beer) Are Coming to Pizza Plant Transit The Russians are coming to Pizza Plant Transit and are bringing their best beer with them. On March 10 (12-10pm), imperial stouts will fill Pizza Plant’s taps, with offerings ranging from 2018 Founders Kentucky and Canadian Brand Stout, 2017 Firestone Walker Parabola and 2018 Mole Merkin, Grimm Sumi Babka, 2018 Goose Island Bourbon County, Cigar City Marshal Zhukov’s, 2016 Westbrook Mexican Cake, 2017 Mikkeller Black Hole and 2017 Great Lakes Barrel Aged Blackout Stout, among others. Flights are available for $30 and include a goblet glass to keep. Dress as a Russian and receive a free 5oz. sample of beer. Anyone have any interest in meeting for a beer? If we can get a few people to commit to being there for at least a certain hour window, then people could come earlier/stay later as they please. There is an AAF game on at 4:00 if that helps.
