Agreed! Soaks up the excess moisture. I am considering baking the lasagna on Christmas eve, and rebaking for actual Christmas dinner. I just started my sauce, going to get it to a nice simmer, shut it off, and let it sit in its heat a few hrs, bring back up to a good rolling simmer, and repeat until I assemble the lasagna. Good times.

Very nice, sounds like a nice time. we picked up focaccia crackers, extra sharp cheddar cheese, and muenster cheese, summer sausage, roasted red peppers for apps, and pepperoncini peppers. We did not do the stuffed cherry peppers, but we will gave a nice meal. Homemade pizzas, and wings is just fun, and comfort in my eyes. Have fun, and hoping for a nice day for you. Very very true. Thanks for sharing... i feel like now is the most appropriate to take over the meals. I an excited to do so, but it’s over an unfortunate circumstance, it is truly for my dad, and not at all about me.

It does go on, very true. I did not meet my mom’s dad, neither did my sister. I am 32, so I feel fortunate to have as much time as I have had with them.

Who has what for Christmas dinner? The last few years have been all about going to my grandparents house. My dad would make dinner at his house, and bring it up to the grandparents home. Well this year we lost my remaining Grandma in Jenuary, and my last remaining Grandpa passed on the 2nd day of gun season last month. Both were my dad’s parents, so this year I decided to have him and his girlfriend up to my house, for a fresh new tradition where my grandparents never had dinner here before. I bought my home 6.5 yrs ago, so I feel this is a good idea for a fresh start, at least there will not be 2 empty chairs here, and I am hoping all thos makes that day just a pinch easier without added reminders. Now to the more brighter side of things, I am making a nice homemade lasagna, with homebaked Italian bread w/sesame seeds. Jenn will be making a nice salad with the usuals you guys see in my dinner pics with the fresh mozzarella, and balsamic glaze. We are thinking about have some crackers with summer sausage, and muenster, and cheddar cheeses. I would like to find some nice bitter olives, and stuffed cherry peppers with the prosciutto/provolone. Not at all looking for sympathy, etc, I usually do not advertise my business like this, but maybe your dinners will give me another idea as well.

Sway bar links can be so annoying! Lol i had a beater car that the links in the rear went bad, and it sounded like someone was randomly smacking the floor with a hammer. That can drive a man insane until replaced.

Nothing exciting, wevare trying to eat decent. Shrimp with cow massage, home smoked sausage, and brown rice all sautéed in olive oil. Looks boring, but its simply tasty.
