That place is $16 for that plate, delicious! Dairy bar gets $8.25 for just the lobster roll(also great), The other restaurant gets “market” I think it was around $20 last year. The plate pictured is turning into our favorite place to eat.

WOW! that is beyond words... like I have said, this forum is like a huge campfire, with stories being shared all around . For you to say that means so much! Best thread? I just enjoy photos, and sharing them! So that is so meaningful. we are sharing wedding details around the fire tonight. Life is good.

It was tasty, but honestly, they cooked both a bit longer than asked for. Steak pictured was Jenn’s, she asked for medium-rare, she got medium to a medium well. I asked for medium-well, and it was cooked through. Fine by me, we both enjoyed it very much, it was a great dinner. It was nice, had a couple beers, and she had a couple glasses. This week has been amazing, such a turning point in life. After dinner, we went back to the house, changed, and went out moose “hunting”. We saw a momma, and a cow moose! Up close, good stuff.

Ribeye and french onion, green challad

On-&-off showers all day, still looks like rain threats....so went for an early dinner at a nice place across from the water. We had Rib-eyes and french onion soup, and a nice salad. Also, having a nice homemade ice cream cookie from the Trading Post of Kokadjo. Homemade ice cream, in between two homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Thanks, yes it seems no matter how far you go, you are still never far enough. 5 more nights, but 2 more here, we go to a different place for the last few nights on a different section of the lake. The other place we have never been to, but it’s like a camp type cabin right on the shore, looking forward to it, but at the same time I am not, because I know that means the trip is almost over. No biggy as for the restaurant, it was just obnoxious the whole experience there. Too much to type, but we were obviously an issue for them the entire time. We always had a lot of fun there last year, taco Tuesday, they had huge lobster rolls that Friday of last year, waitress was awesome, super welcoming.....not this time haha, different waitresses.

I am proud of you! I was pretty close to Abol! Trail markets started mentioning it. I know the bridge but never been near it in anything other than a car/suv

Just got back from going out to dinner at a place we always love. What a shit show...different waitresses that truly acted like we were crashing a party of their locals. Waitress could not even bring our check over, and when we walked up to pay, she, or the other woman didn’t say a word. Gave her cash, and got my change without a single word from her...unreal, I could have stayed in NY to deal with that. Anyways, we had a nice 49 mile ATV cruise today, no moose! I can’t understand why though as for the area we were in. More Katahdin pics @Jdubs

Awesome, I really want to move here so badly. Temps are chilly. Upper 50s-upper 60s, and low to mid 40s overnight. 45 right now. Great campfire weather

Yes please do post pics, I remember asking you where you were headed in maine, i think it was a good bit east if I remember correctly. We were in the no cell area today for a 49 mile atv trip, zero moose.

I actually did not mention what these trails are all about. I thought about explaining it while i was on the trails, but forgot, glad you ask. ATVs are legal for road use in certain areas, we can take it to the grocery store, restaurants etc here. The dirt roads you see in these pics, some are actual roads to homes/camps/logging outfits, etc, some of these are ATV allowed. These are the wider roads you see, the more narrow trails that look like a 2-rut driveway, they are now ATV trails. These dirt trails were originally made for tractor trailers to access the landings where the skidders would pile up the logs to load on tractor trailers. Trails can close, and others reopen...they change due to active logging in the area. They mark with placards pretty well so you know whats going on. Some of the land is private, but one company owns millions of acres here, and they have permits with the state that allow recreation use for people. Basically you can do pretty much anything if I understand correctly, hike wherever, setup tent, but don’t cut trees obviously. ATV/snowmobile on designated trails, and logging trucks ALWAYS have right of way, and they will run you off, they do not mess around, time and money are more important that anyone.

During the week it was VERY QUIET. Yesterday all those pics, we saw a one pickup truck randomly in the deep woods. Its bear season here, was expecting more people, and was hoping I wouldn’t ruin any hunts for anyone, but thats it. The other day we rode, in 42 miles that day, one other ATV.

Hah, they were just water puddles, hard base. Can’t compete with your mud pics anyways...lol

I bought a 4 pack of “Simmons” cameras from Tractor Supply for $100. Videos are more than good during daylight, but night time is not anything to travel for....narrow nightvision. Happy with daytime though...

@Jdubs Katahdin pics just for you! Your annual Katahdin pic. It was insane what Katahdin looked like with the sun shining on it, as the sun was starting to set...this is a good 50 miles as the crow flies i bet. For those who do not know, this summit in the far distance is the north end point of the Appalachian trail, and is the hike Jdubs conquered in Maine a couple months ago!

I told her about this post, and she said she had said that exact idea to her best friend Brittany! Crazy. We plan to get a side by side in a few years, rip a doughnut and take off haha
