  1. Thank you so much, means a lot!
  2. Thats too cool, def a compliment!
  3. I have to say something...i know you guys enjoy pics from those who go on trips. I love taking pics, and enjoy sharing them, so it works, and its great. I am not attention starved, but question myself at times for posting events like today, and often wonder if it is perceived that way at times. This forum is truly full of wonderful people, and it felt right to share this detail of my life...also TurkeyFeathers is a wonderful man, he and I conversed via text about this proposal, and he was like a brother to me! I really appreciate this forum, it is honestly like a huge campfire with folks sharing stories, and wisdom. Lastly, only one guy from work knows this happened! Maybe that will paint a clearer picture to what I am trying to say.
  4. Haha! If I could have, I would have, just so she could finally pet a moose!
  5. Thank you Rob, that was my exact thoughts as I planned it all out in my head.
  6. Thank you all! Anyways, here are the pics of todays hike. as mentioned earlier this is an island.
  7. So this happened today!!!! Ontop of a firetower in the center of Moosehead Lake. Mount Kineo island, which is known as “The Heart of Moosehead”. We both had never been...she had NO idea AT ALL....I had thr ring she picked out online, I bookmarked it, and kept acting like I was not treating this seriously. She was blown away! I got it on video with my GoPro so she can hang on to memory.
  8. Maybe he went off to China to compare by eye
  9. Back at it, same place for out first week up here. New thread, for new pics, it’s going to be a GOOD trip, LOTS in store. Left home at 3:30 this morning, and had a smooth, quiet drive up. We have never been up this late in the year, so it was nice how little traffic there was. We took a short side trip to see the ocean in Wells, and kennebunk area...
  10. Good stuff, thanks for sharing.
  11. @G-Man here us a hand called the “I-Limb” built by Touch Bionics out of Scotland. I was a beta tester for this hand in 2007-10. It was the first multi-articulating hand mass produced. I gave them a lot of ideas for improvements, such as titanium chassis to mount the fingers too. I have videos of these hands moving, but have not uploaded them to YouTube, since I want my YouTube channel to be more of a blog type set of videos of how I use these devices during real life tasks.
  12. That’s awesome! I’m glad you are enjoying this stuff. There is just so much to this stuff, that its soooo difficult to thoroughly get my point across!
  13. Yes sir, the clear arm was basically a rough draft, to make sure the arm fit well, etc, length, so on. Then they sent it to San Jose, California to be finalized into this carbon fiber arm. Now the arm is complete, and I can continue the research study. The changes were a success, they also adjusted the fit of the socket, since some movements allowed some air into the socket, which reduces skin contact, which reduces how well the computer in the arm can interpret what you are telling the hand to do.
  14. This is the final “definitive” version of that clear temporary arm for the research study I am participating in. We started my new arm this afternoon as well, that will be completely mine. There is a lot going on, hope this isn't too confusing by how I am wording it.
  15. Thank you for all you input everyone! confused still on what grain, etc for the bolts/heads...
