    Tonight I'm go a try to do a little rattlin. We'll see how that goes. Haven't seen any bucks yet this season but my trail cam says otherwise. Pretty quiet out so the sound ought to travel well I think.

    I just made it to my stand too. Let me know if you get something I'll help drag. You'll need all the help you can get wearing flip flops. But I'm not so sure about the loin cloth

    Winds just picked up here something fierce. If it gets any windier I think I'll be kicked out of my stand for the night.

    Just made it back into the woods after a short mid day break. Breezy here in 8n

    Well at least he didn't get me. Prolly was after the dinner I cooked last night. I also had a buck grunt before light this am. No clue where he was but he isn't here now.

    I had a bear this morning walking around camp before light. Kinda put me on edge walking to my stand in the dark.

    Feels like a nice morning. 44 and breezy. I haven't seen a deer since last Sunday so hoping for a little action.

    Considering how new I am to this maybe it's not tenderloin? Processor package said 1/3 loin. I don't care if it came from the loin or not it was very tender. Tops the list of my venison cooking career. I brought snacks for the night too but am too full.

    Butter, garlic, leaks, mushrooms, venison tenderloin(last piece of venison I have). Corn on the cob.

    After dark tonight I will be cooking the last of my deer meat that I didn't have made into sausage and pepperoni. Cooking on a cast iron pan over a fire with mushrooms, leaks and garlic. After that no more meat. I need to see some deer soon. Very quiet woods right now. Something has to sneak up on me.

    A big hawk just had a go at a grey squirrel right in front of me in some thick woods. Crazy how well they fly.

    I'm headed to the woods now. First time I'll be hunting this property till dark and then back in the stand before dark in the morning. I've only hunted this property mid day so who knows what will happen. I'm kind of excited.

    Big guy. I got 5 in my barn this last summer. Also caught the cat once. She learned not to go in there again
