    I would have but they were two sets of big tracks and my buck tag is used. Maybe if there were 6 sets of varying sizes.

    I've been buying beef directly from a farmer for the last two years. First year split a half with a friend. Last year bought a half myself. This year I didn't order one because last year I started hunting and we took a liking to venison. So this year I hope to get some doe to limit the amount of beef needed. Anyways, I bought direct from a farmer that had a very small herd. They were fed apples and corn. I liked this because having a small herd they were given better care I feel. Also they were hormone free and antibiotics were not needed. I picked it up locally and all the meat was vac sealed when I got it. The first year the beef was way way better than anything I ever bought at wegmans. The second year it was way better but not way way better. But still way better than wegmans beef. To answer your question I remember paying $4.05 a pound I think. You get everything from lots of burger to any of the best cuts of beef you can think of. I also got some nice brisket which was awesome in the smoker. So $4.05 a pound and if you buy a half the total depends on how big the cow was. I think my half was something like 400# but they can be much bigger

    So Turkeyfeathers and malletz fulfilled the challenge for yesterday with a buck and a doe. Tho I'm waiting to read stories in the harvest thread. Who's on it for today? I again will be out for a short bit this morning and then will try to make it out in the afternoon depending on what happens at work today. We had 3-5 inches of fresh snow here supposedly so I'm excited to be able to see the deer better.

    Saw a fresh rub yesterday in a "low" deer density region. Hmm..Muzzle loaders are beginning to appeal to me this year.

    LOL, You may be my taxidermist. Seriously tho like I said yesterday, I'm glad you are getting to work on that monster. Judging on your previous work I know you'll do a great job on it. ps. don't forget about mine being there too tho, and next year when you're all famous from it don't forget me when I bring in another normal not freak of nature to get mounted lol

    Kicked up a doe and fawn while checking cam at the end of day after legal light. I did get a chance to see a crazy buck at the taxidermist on my way home though while picking up my lower jaw bones. Crazy buck! And I was told it was taken last night not too far from where I was this afternoon. So there is hope for getting a buck this time of year. Turkey feathers is an example. They're out there.

    There is a beautiful wandering creek flowing about 50 yards away from me. Eyes are heavy. I'm getting sleepy. Imagine falling asleep right now and waking up in the dark in your stand. Betcha it's happened

    Back at it. Little snow here which is nice to help see. Brought a friend out and went to a property I hardly ever get to to change up the pace a little bit. I have some turkeys in a stand of pine behind me.
