  3. Lol yea so not true, I started out public.... Oh and on private I still hunt from a mix of my climber ladder stands and ground blinds Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I have had a pretty standard routine, for the past few years. I sit a few minuets and wait. Calmly text my hunting buddy who is usually no more than a 15 minute walk from my stand. I wait for his response. If it was a rifle shot or a bow kill that died within sight I walk over to my deer. If it requires tracking I sit and wait. When ever he does get there the work begins we dress the deer, and then call my wife to come with the side by side. There are trails all over the place that we hunt. We drag the deer to the nearest trail and she comes and picks us up. We hang the deer off the apple tree in the yard. Go in, get changed eat! And then get to butchering...... Process pretty much goes the same for him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Agreed! I live right outside Nyc..... Saved my pennies and bought land in the Catskills... 1.5 hrs from my home.... I will be closing before the end of the month and will spend every weekend there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Right! And that's why I bought land to get away from the hunting pressure not to share it with you..... Go get a job Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Yea I've done that as well I was mid press on my release and he spooked and that's where he got hit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Neck shots are very deadly I miss judged yardage last year on a hard quartering away shot with the xbow. Shot her through the back of the neck broke the spine and hit the jugular, she dropped where she was and there was no blood in the cavity what so ever when I dressed her Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Fixed blades are the way to go! I shoot both G5 monotech, and muzzy trocar.... Have arrows with both in my quiver and what ever I pull when I get in the stand is what gets used Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Come to Sullivan county I see them all the time and hear them every night when I'm at camp Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Sounds like we need to get live from the stand started early just for you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Just so you know everyone can do it, I don't care weather your middle class or not, or already live in a rural area.... I'm from very close to NYC, and btw do not have a collage degree Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. FYI my hunting buddy and I are both self taught neither of us came from a hunting family.... Yes MOST 18-35 year olds can afford land. But I worked my ass off to be able to afford mine.... Is it the idea piece, NO but it works for me right now. Not everyone has the same work ethic or the same opportunity in life. But we all live in a free country and with hard work and and a little luck we can all advance in life..... All this opening up private land to the woe is me hunter who can't afford It and who doesn't want to go find some public land really bothers me.... If that's what you want go move to a communist country, you can hunt all the no longer private land you want and wait in long lines for your food too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I am part of that 18-35 year old demographic and I have made it my business to be able to buy land. I work my ass off to do so and still have the things I want in life. And now that I do own land I will open it up to no one because I worked for it and it is mine. The only people besides myself and my wife that will be allowed to hunt is my long time hunting partner! We have been friends since we were kids, and have hunted together a long time now.... Heck I won't even let my own brother hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Let me know, when your ready I'm looking to move upstate in the future and I know all the work you've put into your place Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. It really is... Just makes life that much easier Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. How much you looking for ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Right behind the ear out the window of my truck with my 22[emoji4] Just kidding behind the shoulder with a bow, just a little higher up with my Rifle because I love to eat the heart Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Hey why are you undercutting my deals Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Never too old they make little blue pills for that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Now this I truly disagree with, I have hunted a long time and I'm buying my land, granted its hard to get doe tags where I'm buying and there are ar's in place but I will be happy to shoot a doe with my bow and any legal buck with my bow or rifle.... I do love shooting big bucks but I hunt for the meat. Not because I need to buy because I like to eat it.... I would lease and do the exact same thing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Nope it's in Sullivan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Yea that's about what I would need to Give up my own hunting season and lease it to someone else Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. They already do these things in parts of westchester and Long Island....I'm Sure most of those big farms have dmaps that they use in the summer for deer control trust me a few more hunters isn't going to change things on those farms...... FYI I'm just having fun playing devils advocate here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Unfortunately I'm still going to have to disagree with you we live in a capitalist society not communist Russia.... Your starting to sound like a Bernie Sanders supporter over there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
