Hunting Boot/Shoe Question

My hunting boots are also Irish setters and they are great. Very comfortable. "Start Where You Are, Use What You Have, Do What You Can." -Arthur Ashe -
Hunting Boot/Shoe Question
AdirondackBadger replied to Lawdwaz's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
For the past several years I have been hiking in a pair of ASOLO Fugitive GTX boots and have absolutely loved them. From the Adirondacks to Colorado they have served me well. I have considered using them for hunting but at this time my hunting boots have no problems either. After many miles it is about time for a new pair of the Fugitives though. Great ankle support, superior traction and very comfortable. I wouldn't consider anything else. "Start Where You Are, Use What You Have, Do What You Can." -Arthur Ashe -
What about the Ruger GSR? Looks similar and allows for a forward mounted scope. AdirondackBadger -Start Where You Are, Use What You Have, Do What You Can. -Two is One, One is None.

Venison Jerky Made in the Oven
AdirondackBadger replied to AdirondackBadger's topic in Game Recipes / Cooking
170 degrees with the door shut from 12:30 am to 7:30am. I agree that tooth picks are time consuming so I use long thin skewers instead. Saves tons of time. Walked in the door at 12:20 am and had these in the oven 10 minutes later. Definitely always use a drip tray. I have a cookie tin under there lined with foil any time I do this - maybe just hard to see in that collage. Here's the single top shot from right when I put them in. Put this in last night a little after midnight and let it go until 7:30 am. It's delicious. Gonna have to make more. This little impromptu batch won't last long. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
