    Opening day youth duck , we had birds working missed on a couple volley’s but had fun time. Daughter is extremely bummed but really forcing the good . Keep on telling her that misses happen. My heart is breaking for her but we will get em next time .

    Everyone on any given hunt is running that risk Belo . Even on a 15 yard chip shot your taking a risk. I have no issues with the decision the CAT burglar made and I don’t care what anyone shoots at or what or how far I was just putting myself in that situation. Being in a bind I most certainly would not . If I’m on the ground or stand maybe. That’s all I’ll say on this

    It shouldn’t? If you can shoot from those ranges and are comfortable doing so why not? If you can’t then you should know your limitations. I’m not saying I would Or wouldn’t shoot a deer at that range but I now I’ve practice out to 100 yards on a piece of foam

    I like the mix of deer and duck hunting. With deer hunting I can only take a couple empty sits of not seeing anything then I go duck hunt for a couple days. Also hunting different areas depending on where the ducks are. I ton more scouting is involved more than deer hunting cause you constantly driving looking in the air

    A lot has changed with duck hunting this year. Youth season opens Saturday the 5th and 6th I will be out with daughter on. And regular season opens the 19th. But the second split is longer this year and starting earlier. Most importantly the bag limits have changed . Last year was 4 mallards with 2 being hens and this year it’s only 2 mallards with only one being a hen. That should drive a lot of guys away from duck hunting. It’s a lot of work to just shoot 2 ducks .

    Yesterday and today’s weather are a carbon copy of every October weekend last year. Wet and miserable. I’ll be at work today looking forward to some decent weather to come .
