  1. https://www.deersearchflc.com/meet-the-team I worked with Dave Schillinger and Rosco today.brought along Bob MCNamara (he is not listed on the site from what I've seen).Bob brought out Willow(his dog)for the afternoon track as a second attempt after getting permission to another property
  2. I've gotta say after my first hand experience today watching this small dog do its work,it's truly a holy crap moment.i had my doubts or"how is this going to work"but it would stop on a log, sniff the air,get off track and the handler would call out a command and get right back on it.i knew the blood trail for a good 150 yards and this dog jumped right on it.unfortunetly it wasn't a recovery but truly amazing and well appreciated the time and effort deer search guys put into this.(took screenshot off wny deer search page)
  3. Thats what a blender and straw Is for.atta boy belo, happy birrrrrrfday!
  4. Very true @Just Lucky trackers said the same thing. We were tracking no blood 24 hrs later from where I marked last blood yesterday.keeping high hopes he plugged up to live another day.watching these dogs work was amazing.it honestly almost makes me want to get one and try it.the two gents I worked with today were awesome.ball busters for sure.alot of good laughs and appreciated everything they did.it deff hurts regardless.this was him right before the shot.......
  5. Well I'm back home empty handed.walked my ass off today that's for sure.had 2 guys and 1 dog show up this morning then the 2ndd guy came back and brought his dog(different from first).walked another hour and a half with no luck and no buck seen.honestly if we bumped him again we probably wouldn't have seen him, holy crap it was thick my arms are all torn up.looks like I'm chalking this one up as a loss.hope he makes it but if not the fox and yotes will have a feast.this blows
  6. No dice.we were on the trail with alot of off course but amazing how this dog worked.got to a point where the handler spotted a deer get up and move.dog followed right to property line.sure enough we are standing there talking for a solid 10 mins while I was trying to get permission.sure enough.stands up 40 yards from us and kept moving on that property.went from one bed to the next bed 50-60yards apart, damnit!!!!!waiting for land owner to contact me.guys left and marked last sighting
  7. Was really concerned on the start of my season.hard to relax my shoulders as I have knots under shoulder blades that haven't went away in over a year(starting to think things are torn)did the PT thing, massage therapy and now chiropractor. Don't sleep very well at night due to waking up with fingers numb.bring my kneck all the way back and feel it right to those knots.think alot of it has to do with the repeated motion at work/bad posture, dunno but it sucks at 30 years old.chiroprator I go to has a YouTube channel and will gladly send you the link if think it may be helpful
  8. Hoping not but tracker had mentioned the same.i honestly only see yotes on cam maybe 5 times a year, but I only run one cam also.he told me he went on a track last week in Groveland and only thing left was front shoulders.the dog didn't even want to run the track it wreaked so bad of yote!
  9. Not to sound soft or anything but I really do appreciate everyone's well wishes and advice.i have screwed up in the past by pushing deer and learning from my mistakes.have lost 1 deer sence I started hunting deer and not looking to loose another.got lucky with the others and found em in 2nd bed(admit my fault's).Doing my all and pulling out the stops.Am excited to see a dog work it's magic(my first time) and know it's my best option as it gets pretty thick over on neighbors property.hopefully pics to come tomorrow with my 2nd biggest buck to date.if it doesn't happen I hope it makes it regardless
  10. Dog setup for tomorrow morning 8am.finger's crossed LFG.i hope this dog is chewing on a leg like Luna and kunox!!!!
  11. Waiting till morning.concerns on meat not be any good, luckily not alot of yotes around but have had em on cam.owe it to the deer though to do my damnest.i hope he layed down 100 yards from there and done.i really hope
  12. Dont have it,left it at hit site sry.went about 100 yards and bedded along dry creek bed.got up and headed to neighboring property, which called for permission already.blood every 25 yards, more than just a drop.little puddles
  13. Finding blood every 20-25 yards, looked promising at first
  14. Alot of it is hard to see with the wetness around
  15. Brush pushed down around bed.he had a limp this morning before I even shot
  16. Didn't wait long enough.bumped off first bed.suggestions on how long to wait are welcome
  17. That's the plan.shot at 8.not planning on being to field until 3-4 at earliest
  18. Agree'd. Have creek that runs along property, hoping he will end up right there.ive bumped em before and know how much of a pain it can be.hopefully have my hands wrapped around em this afternoon @crappyice will do,hopefully doesnt happen though!
  19. Prob from the dew and rained just prior.bile looking, blood started right after hit site and went all way out to where I stopped.hoping I clipped something.waiting a while.back home now patiently waiting, this is the worst
  20. Well my turn now..disgusted right now..things went from quiet to crazy at 8am.as i was posting on here I had a buck sneak in 10 yards to my right from the field.staring right at me.played with a few saplings then finally headed around some thick stuff that gave me time to get ready.had another buck behind him out in field but he wouldn't follow(he then took off).ended up giving me a 23 yards shot which ended up low and back.FFFFFFFUDGE!Not sure if it was on me or deflection.gave me a second shot and got deflected.wtf.slowly watched him walk across field.clean pass thru and know I opened him up.marked blood where I saw him just outside of pines I was sitting in,didnt even bother going into field.going back later, stomach in knots
  21. Passing shower on the way here.rain dropping from trees making alot of noise. Could have been the deer in field I got txt about yesterday, damn!not the biggest on cam but dunno if I'd pass a shot like that
  22. Up n having coffee. 41 degrees w wind at 4mph 645 legal Should not have had tacos and genny light lastnight, TP packed in bag a must!
