I would argue the Bell's Black Note belongs there.
-
I've got nothin to dispute that.

Been playing around with Beer Advocate. There's no way to ever recall all of the different beers I've had, but I'm good with this for a Top 5, so far.

Bacon venison burger with smoked maple cheddar cheese and sauteed red onion. Debating whether or not to grill a second one.

TF, you see this? The Stout Bucket List : 15 Stouts You Need To Drink At Least Once

Damn that looks good!

Just got back from watching Jumanji with my daughter and her friend. Hilarious flick! And now, time to drink!

The casino that opened in Schenectady a year ago earned well under the projections. I'd be shocked to see this one do much better.

Kolb is out already. Can't say I'm surprised. Nice guy, pro-2A and all, but zero fire in the belly. If someone wants to beat FUAC, they better come out swinging and with a mountain of cash or the means to raise it.

If we secure a spot in the picnic grove or such, then guys can roll in with coolers of whatever.

Pretty sure I'm drunk after just the first few sips. WOW! Tasted coffee, chocolate and fruit, but that 18% ABV tho...

Let's get a head count going. Opening Day is Friday, July 20th. So maybe target the following weekend, Sat the 28th? I live and work up here so dates are very flexible. Biz - In Jdubs - In Who else?

I keep meaning to try this, but then see things like CBS or BCBS still on the shelf. . Like it/love it? What does it compare to?
-
Dom, yes you get the coffee flavor. It's balanced nicely with everything else. The maple syrup finish wrapped in bourbon needs to be experienced to truly enjoy. It's a phenomenal brew. If you like the Founders Breakfast Stout, then you'll love the CBS.

Different tools for different jobs. The AR platform is basically like the Legos of firearms. You can configure, change, swap out and accessorize a rifle in almost any way imaginable, including caliber conversions by swapping uppers and mags. All while enjoying a semi-auto rate of fire with mag capacities of 30 to 100 rounds.

Works for me. My business partner used to train horses under D. Wayne Lucas. He trained Derby winners Thunder Gulch and Grindstone. We can tour the backstretch, bet the ponies, enjoy an endless parade of sundresses and drink a ridiculous amount of brews.

I actually live in Ballston Lake. Come up for track season in August and I'll get you wasted at the track.
-
Great reason to celebrate!
-
Lots of "research" going on there, TF.

I'm in Saratoga County. You and TF should roadtrip here. Maybe it's just luck, but my bev mart gets restocked on this stuff because the other stores in their chain can't move their allocations. Eta: This store has 2 more 4 packs of Black Note, 2 or 3 bottles of CBS, and 3 cases of Bourbon County left. Also three 4 packs of DFH World Wide Stout (pricey though). I could ask them to check around with the other stores for more.

^Right Moog, a new case would need to rise through the courts and be petitioned for cert. I thought SCOTUS would take the MD case, but no luck. No clue what they're waiting for.
-
Once Scalia died, they were staring at a 4-4 split so they decided to not petition SCOTUS. Tough call, but you can't take a loss with SCOTUS.

Think I saw Fletch post this before. The Black Note is a great beer. Big espresso and dark chocolate flavors with cherry (I think) notes and the warmth of bourbon barrel-aging. One to savor.
