  1. Last night Haley and I came Down to the farm and adjusted the position of our blind. I have Been driving by each morning and noticed the birds were always in the middle of the field, out of range of our blind, so we found a bare spot out in the middle and put the blind there. We just got to the blind and are ready to go. We are going to try for a double if multiple toms come out, but I’ll be happy if just she gets one. Good luck everyone!
  2. Birds have clammed up here. Haven’t heard anything in a while now.
  3. Evan and I are in the blind, dekes set out in the field and we are ready to go. Evan is so excited. I cant Wait to see him when the turkeys start gobbling! good luck everyone!
  4. I stopped Down to the farm tonight and put the birds to bed. Looks like the morning should be eventful. I’m letting Evan stay home from school so he can go on his first turkey hunt with me. Up and at em early!
  5. Thanks. I think he turned out great. I mount all of my “firsts”. He was my first crossbow buck. The one in the middle was my first bow buck and the one on the other side was my first muzzleloader buck. My first shotgun buck is downstairs. After the first, the rest get euro mounts until I shoot one over 140 or if it’s something odd or has some specific significance. I will mount the first buck I take On my property for example.
  6. He’s not a book buck and I dont care what he scores. He’s just a nice looking 8 and I wanted to Have him look like he did when I first saw him, which wasn’t when I ended up killing him.
  7. Here’s a couple. He did a great job with the rack, you have to look really close to see anything and if you didn’t know they were broken off, you probably wouldn’t be able to tell.
  8. Tonight I picked up my buck that I shot On the first day of the 2017 crossbow season. He had sat in my freezer for a year before I had a chance to get him down to WNYBowhunter. He turned out beautiful! This buck had a busted off G2 and G3 when I shot him, but I had Some trail cam picks from before he got busted up and WNYBowhunter did an amazing job restoring his rack! I’m glad to finally have this guy up on my wall! Thanks again Jason! Hopefully I’ll have another one for ya this year!
  9. We ended up having a fun morning, but no dead birds for youth season this year, as we won’t be able to go out tomorrow. We will be back out for regular season. Lots of time left to get it done.
  10. It definitely seemed like they shyed away from it.
  11. I’m not sure what they didn’t like. We were trying a new strutting decoy Haley got. First time using one like that. After the birds left I took It down.
  12. Birds have left the field. Both toms stayed out of range.
  13. Toms went into the brush. The 3 hens are closing the distance.
  14. 3 more hens came out on the other side of the toms
  15. 3 or 4 toms hammering hard not far in the woods.
