They are both special interest groups. Im glad NYB was neutered, they had the ear of too many politicians, and they carried along with them a ton of misinformation and elitist views.

Whether someone builds it or not isnt the important question though. The real question is will NY allow it in any season. Given NY's history with the crossbow, I would say it wouldnt be legal to hunt with. I mean, you cant use anything less than 17" wide or with a draw weight of more than 200 lbs. Those two things eliminate a large chunk of the newer crossbows that are coming out.

Yes, that simple. The inclusion issue is completely different than amending regulations that already exist. They have to reclassify what a crossbow is according to the law before it can be added to archery season.

You cant base things on whats possible. Anything is possible. If someone wanted to, they could create an auto drawing rapid fire vertical bow too, but would that be legal to hunt with? BTW, I bet I could have another arrow in my vertical bow and be ready to shoot almost as fast as that crossbow. Its just a matter of having an arrow handy.

A poor shot is the only thing that causes a person to wound a deer. Not how fast a weapon can be reloaded.

I wouldnt bother with one. Im not the type to try and tell others what they can or cant use. I could honestly care less what the next guy chooses to hunt with as long as its legal. The optics though, all that has on it is a lighted reticle with little to no magnification. Pretty much the same as a fiber optic vertical bow sight.

Enough time to get another arrow ready with a vertical bow too.

Its not a new platform lol, been around for ceturies. This multi shot thing isnt new either, the Chineese invented almost the exact same thing in the 4th century BC. You guys are too funny.

Simple regulations keep things like this out of the season

I used to use alkalines in all cams. Now I only use them if the camera wont be out very long. In those Coverts you bought, I have always used Alkalines and they get awesome battery life with them. Just make sure the ones you buy dont have a tiny nub at the center of the positive end, they wont work. Ive had the best luck with Rayovacs and Energizers in them.

Id rather have the 24 hour thing. Back to normal in a day or two. The pain and smell is only temporary.
