Great, it's my third season using them.

First time hunting this property so I have no history with the deer here, but...I'd say his at least 4.5 and probably dressed 175-180. He has a huge head and a beautiful cape.

I arrowed this cool looking buck yesterday afternoon. I had 4 bucks within 15 yds of the stand but managed to get drawn back and put a Rage hypodernic in this guy. He was slightly quartering towards me but I had no choice and took the first shot presented as the 8-pt at the bottom of my tree was getting a bit restless. I ended up leaving him overnight and recovered my 13-pt this morning. He's not wide but has super mass and tons of character. What an awesome two days of hunting!!!

I found this little guy on the side of the road this morning on my way too work just up the road from one of my hunting properties. He was almost a yearling 10 pt. What a waste, looks like he had some potential...
-
He came through the hedgerow gap twice last night. Big ole bodied dude...
-
I leaning more towards up 140's...he's got longer beams and several inches on the spread than the bottom buck. The head on pics are deceiving as his G2's are actually longer than they appear at that angle since they both curl at the tip. Reguardless, he's one of the best bucks that I've ever got on trail cam.
-
As for score, I'm guessing mid-upper 140's for gross. For comparison, I have sheds from the buck on the bottom and he went right around 145"...

I moved this camera the other day to a hedgerow gap about 60 yds from the other set up and had him come through last evening at 7:50. The good news is he's likely bedding not far from the stand we put up last weekend. Got about 15 pics...

I can hunt this property...my friend and his bro in law control the hunting on the several farms that their family farming operation owns...but, I will leave my friend alone in his quest for this deer during bow season. Later on during gun I'll probably hunt it a bit. Make no mistake, this deer won't get passed up and most likely hasn't been passed up previously.

8R isn't in that county.
-
No doubt about it. I probably won't even hunt this deer myself, but my buddy is extremely pumped after seeing the pics of this buck!!!
-
Me too. Nets are for fish...I prefer the gross score as they give you a better measure of the amount of bone that deer grew.
-
Yeah, he is a 9-pt with a small crabclaw on the left side.

I saw a bruiser of a buck on a good buddy of mine's farm last week. Over the weekend I helped move a stand and set up a camera hoping to get a better look at the big guy. Due to his hectic farming schedule my friend gets no free time this time of year so I've been checking his cam for him. Lo and behold the buck were are after showed himself this morning. Not much mass...but everything else looks pretty darn good!!!

Heavy 8-pt at the apple tree...
WNY Bowhunter replied to WNY Bowhunter's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
Not for long...that right G3 is peeling. -
I saw three big bucks at a place that I hunt the other night, including a STUD 10-pt. The following day I went out to hang a camera and found an apple tree on the edge of the field close to where the bucks were feeding that was dropping apples like crazy. It seemed like a good spot to get some pics of the big one. Just got in from checking the cam...I haven't gotten him yet, but one of his smaller buddies visited...love the mass on this guy.

I can show you numerous known age 2's and 3's but only a handful of 4+'s... These are all 5+ year old Steuben County bucks based on several years of history with each deer. Only Buck #4 are my personal pics... Buck #1: Killed by a friend in 2013 2013: At least 5.5 2012: Buck #2: Estimated to be 6 years old here Buck #3: Estimated to be 5 years old Buck #4: 4 years old 5 years old Uncle killed him at 6.5 Buck #5: 2011: 2013: I'd estimate 8 years olds based on his sheds.. L to R = 2011 antler, 2012, 2010

First hard horn of the year...
WNY Bowhunter replied to WNY Bowhunter's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
He would get a pass from me, but my wife wouldn't hesitate to put an arrow through him... -
