I would start with $20Million. Invest conservative and make 10% each year, so $2M. Spend $1M on hunting/fishing/vacations/partying per year

Lol I ain't got that money. Just a combat veteran. My wife works at a school. I was thinking around $4000-$10000. Then adding what I have leftover monthly to it. I would do the millions if I hit mega millions or Powerball lol.

  2.  Went and talked to a financial advisor on Friday. Was very helpful and were starting off slow. Just wish I d have started when I got out of military I'd have a nice nest egg but never had anyone tell me about investing so here I am. Think wife is gonna go with a Roth IRA. I'm gonna invest and add to it monthly. Any help would be appreciated if anyone has any advice. What is a good amount of money to start out with? We're gonna play it safe for first year then our advisor will see if we wanna invest in riskier stocks. Hopefully in time we'll be set for when my wife retires. I'm already there at 37.

Not dinner yet but I bought a half cow (440 pound) at $3.55 a pound. I highly recommend this place (Google pine plains butcher shop). I assume beef prices are going to skyrocket so I went big.

Very easy to work with and the best ground beef I've had around here.

The butcher even gave me a few extras Hanger steak, heart and some sausage.

If anyone wants to verify the butcher pm me and I will send the info.

I'm still working on the half beef we bought in fall. My friends hooked me up $3 lb. Hamburger went fast now if I need burger I just grind up a roast or a tougher cut of steak.

  4. I pick up paperwork for my wife and I pistol permit yesterday at clerks office. We filled out everything now just got to get our references. Wife is going to set us up for fingerprints when she gets home. We got our references just a matter of getting on same page as people to meet up and get it done. Can't wait to get it submitted. It'll be a wait though Clinton county is six month waiting period depending on who get your paperwork.

Ha!  I knew it'd be arriving soon... on Sunday me and the neighbors broke open a 12 pack that has been chilling in my basement all winter.

Can't wait to get it! My wife is a big fan of it also.

Also nobody is looking at 9 yr olds and thats facts. Who ever told you that is an idiot!! Also after reading the book, twitter is a great place to learn tons about all things baseball. Really u say? Yep tons of baseball people on here spreading helpful info. Dm me and I can give you some handles to start with.

Also don’t worry about competition so much, kids change a ton from year to year, focus more on him enjoying the game first and foremost. Better comp comes later when you son gets to the big fields.

Again read that book, its like $7 bucks on Amazon. Well worth the info!!

Yes I just read what was on there website. Teams are 14u and 12 u. Then 15 u 11 u 12 u 10 u. Yea I know nobody is looking that young. Then traveling out of state.  I know to play you got to pay quite. I will read the book. He loves the game and understands more about it then me. Just want to make sure he has fun. Thanks for the information. I'm looking at investing in a batting cage and pitching machine.

  7. Was wondering if anyone here has heard of kangaroo court. We have kangaroo court north up here. It's a traveling baseball team. My son is 9 and a die hard baseball player. We're signing him up for little league for May and June. Then town ball after that. We missed the chance for tryouts seeing as I just heard about this team. Heard it gives kids a chance to be seen and better competition. Really like any feedback from any one. I know kangaroo court is out of Tampa Florida. Was started by a local from Plattsburgh NY.

Wife and i drove down to Sarasota area from southern tier and would like to avoid the drive again. Same experiences you had. Nothing like having to drive white knuckle down and back with All the Dale Ernhardt imitators weaving in and out. Route 95 in S.C. was an experience all its own.

Was 95 backed up around hardeeville SC? Always run into backed up traffic there always accidents. They say the interstate narrows down there. That's why it's alWays backed up.

I have Asparagus and Celery germinating. Peppers will get started after dinner tonight.

The big change this year is an eight foot wire garden fence being installed. After two years of fighting with the local deer heard it was time to spend some money on a real fence.

Okra is a new one for me hope it grows well.

I had very good luck with okra last year. It was my first try growing it. We breaded and deep fried it and also. Pickled it dilly style.

  11. Sweet I'm going to have to start some seeds soon. You southern NY guys start growing before me up here by the Canadian border. I usually can get stuff planted safely after memorial day weekend. I've started by may 15 before but gotta watch  for Frost and snow. If my starters don't take my neighbor owns a green house so I can always get some stuff if he's not sold out. Last 2 years with covid people took up gardening as a hobby and things went quick.
