  2. Check out my above article. Below is a copy of paste piece of it. Objective lens diameter has something to do with it, but is not the most important aspect. Too many people will tell you the objective lens is basically the only thing that matters, but they're only saying that because it's the only thing they can see and the only lens in the system that's given its own number in the scope’s name (like a 4-16x50). That "50" is referring to the objective lens diameter. What you don't see is a bunch of other numbers behind that "50" about the 5, 10, maybe even 15 other lenses behind that one! All are very important; you can shove as much light as you want down the bell of a scope with a massive objective, but if all the lenses behind it can't handle it, the image will still be disappointing. 8. Just seeing this now. Wow, 2 awesome bucks. Do you only hunt your KY lease one week per season given the distance?
  9. Shoot an official net booner with a bow during rifle season. But the bow has to be a bare-bow.
  10. normally i'm a salt & pepper only guy, but since my daughter was having some I also used some organic garlic & onion powder before grilling hot.
  11. @Lawdwaz Have you looked at Vortex? I've always heard great things about their scopes for low light conditions. https://vortexoptics.com/blog/what-makes-great-low-light-performance.html this is a good read.
  12. China has 20 new cases per day only since March 2020. They have under 5K deaths total since the start of this. Simple Math. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  15. I can start hunting his land again for a buck on Monday, so I’m pumped for that as well as go back to my brother’s. Maybe I’ll even try carrying his ML one day. I’ve never held one. Supposedly Hank might return to woods tomorrow! They told him Monday he was done for the year. That lasted 2 days lol Weather won’t be an issue. All next week and through Xmas looks like mid 50’s. Even the lows are only 30’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  19. Thought you history buffs & WNYers would find this interesting. So my Mom's side of the family grew up in Depew and later North Tonawanda. They owned the Depew Feed Store (corner of Penora & Broadway) and lived next door. My great uncle (grandpa's brother), Walter Niespodziewany, dropped out of high school to drive the truck and work in the store. He later went to WW2 and flew in a B-24 (below is a copy & paste). He was shot down in May of 1944. He survived the parachute landing, but was captured. He was a prisoner of war for 12-13 months, but finally came home. 75 years after he should have graduated High School, Depew HS kindly let him honorary graduate from high school. I spent a lot of summers with him in Depew and attended many Bills game with him. He had Bills season tix for many years, and he went to all 4 super bowls actually. My grandpa (Walter's brother) was many years younger, so he went to the Korean War as a translator (he could speak fluent polish back then). On my Dad's side, my grandpa was in the Navy in WW2. He came home with a lot of japanese stuff. he started boxing in the Navy and turned pro for a little bit. Jack Dempsey gave him a bunch of cool personalized stuff over the year. "The 446th Bomb Group, who came to be known as "the Bungay Buckaroos" after the name of their Suffolk base, flew B-24 Liberators on strategic, support and interdictory missions over Europe. The Group led the Eighth Air Force and 2nd Bomb Division on the first heavy bomber mission on D-Day, 6 June 1944, and continued to support the ground forces move eastwards, dropping airborne troops into Wesel, north-west Germany, as part of the advance across the River Rhine."
  20. 12/7: I hunted 3S before work. Only saw 1 deer running full speed about 150+ yards away at 720am. Spike & Doe on cam. Dad has a torn meniscus in knee and hasn't hunted since 12/2, but hopefully he will return to the woods soon!
