  1. Yes. Funny how the NYBowhunters organization was so against allowing xbows in "their" season, and they got their wish. Only problem is the xbow hunters get first crack at "their" deer now. Wonder how NYB will feel walking into their stand on 10/15 and finding gut piles everywhere.
  2. Looks like the xbow season will be 10/1-10/15. Regular archery will start on 10/15. Late ML/Bow/Xbow will be as normal after the gun season. Works for me!
  3. Where's the beer pong table? Looks like a decent high school party spot. Might want to invest in some aerobeds as well.<br /><br />Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2<br /><br />
  4. Can't see it. Says video is private<br /><br />Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2<br /><br />
  5. While we are at, why can't NY get rid of the 200lb limit for xbows? I want to get the http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/catalog/crossbow/matrix_380_xtra, but its 260lb.
  6. I think hunting from the ground with no blind with an xbow is a much bigger challenge than hunting from a tree stand with a compound.<br /><br />Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2<br /><br />
  7. I haven't bought my CT archery license yet to use my xbow, hoping I can hunt NY on 10/1 with ny xbow instead.<br /><br />Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2<br /><br />
  8. My xbow is a recurve, I'm a traditionalist.<br /><br />Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2<br /><br />
  9. Not a lawyer, but I work in big law. What's up? Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  10. According to who? Many compound hunters never climb a tree. Come down from your tree and spot n stalk with me. It's fun. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  11. Nothing like a gun. Everyone entitled to their own opinion. I'll be out there on 10/1 with my xbow spot and stalk while your sitting in tree.
  12. Yup you are correct. So if your going to spend $150 on the license. Might as well spend $7.50 each for Deer, Sheep, and other species.
  13. I was under the impression that you only pay for the license if you get drawn. Not sure?
  14. Again, thanks all. If anyone is interested, here's his website > http://www.foxstudiostaxidermy.com/index.html It's a little outdated and I'm not a fan of some of the pictures on his website. However, his studio has a ton of animals to look at in person. He's been around forever.
  15. Traditional, Recurve, Compound, Crossbow, Recurve Crossbow (i.e., excalibur) are all archery equipment and should all be allowed in the archery season.
  16. In my honest opinion, the crossbow is nothing like a gun whatsoever. No powder, no bullet. String, Arrow, Sharp Pointed Tip.
  17. I would have killed that thing. I hate snakes. My Dad lost a beagle to a timber rattler in the castkills in the 70's.
  18. $150? It's $7.50. $1,407.50 if you get drawn.
  19. I shot the lion with the guide's level action trapper rifle. It was open sights and very short, made it easy to carry around. I think it was a 44mag. The 2 foxes, I shot with a shotgun. 20gauge youth model pump. It was my Guide's daughter's gun. Again, made it easy to carry on and handle.
  20. Thanks all.<br /><br />Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2<br /><br />
  21. Are they transferable? Lol Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  22. All work done by Kurt Fox. As always, I am more than impressed with the work done. The pictures do these mounts no justice. I took the pics on my cell phone. The 2 gray fox are exactly how I shot each of them. The smaller & lighter fox (female) was up on her front paws when I shot her. The bigger & darker fox (male) was stalking the e-caller when I shot him. I love the desert theme with sandstone rock, cactus, and sand. The lion mount is just amazing, nothing else to say.
