  2. I love lake George, just wish the food was better. It's horrible. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  3. I like best of both worlds.30min to nyc, 30 min to CT, 30min to putnam county and tons of state land. Westchester n Putnam have great reservoir fishing. Some reservoirs are over 1000 acres and no motors allowed. You can't row, you can't fish. Lake trout, brown trout, bass, perch, etc Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  4. TOR= tomato onion rye? Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2

  7. Right, it doesn't have good food. I just call it Lake George and enjoy the lake trout n smallie fishing. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  8. I had a good polish fish fry outside of buffalo once. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  9. When hunting its peanut butter n jelly. Black raspberry jelly. I'm a big fan of the new chipotle chicken breast. Also like chicken cutlet with fresh mozz melted on. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  10. Nobody can say the food is good in lake George. I go there once or twice every summer. Still searching for decent food besides bobs ice cream. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  11. +1 Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  12. Upstate chicks are easy. Downstate are much prettier and require more wine n dine, before 69. The best looking upstate girls are the college ones who are from downstate. Separately, the food sucks upstate. Lake George has horrible food and the restaurants are packed and people are eating like its the best thing ever. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  13. Just curious, why do you limit yourself to 30 yards? Your bow can easily kill a deer beyond 30 yards, so why not become proficient at a longer distance? Unless, you hunt in heavy woods or something where >30 yards wouldnt help. Regarding me, I feel confident to 50 yards with my crossbow given the right shot (broadside or quartering away). That's all I need for now because I hunt in very heavy woods. However, if I hunted farm lands for example, I would definitely work on getting comfortable "lobbing it in" from 70-80 yards. I never shot a rifle past 200 yards at a range in my life. I shot my Mule Deer at 330 and 440 yards, both hits, because I knew where to aim at that distance. I never shot past 38 yards when practicing with my crossbow (that's as long as the yard is I practice in), but I would feel confident knowing where to aim up to 50 yards and definitely take the shot at a standing still deer facing the right way.
  14. Not sure, but no experienced bowhunters should be limiting themselves to 30yards. These new bows have plenty of energy to kill deer well beyond that distance Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  15. Yea, I'm pumped to head back to PA. Some days I saw more deer in 1 day than I do in the whole NY gun season.
  16. There are a lot of NY Bowhunters who won't shoot past 30 yards. They might be the ones who feel an xbow has an advantage. However, out west guys with compounds routinely take big game out to 100 yards. They aren't crying about xbows.
  17. Doesn't have to do with taxes, but I would rather drive 30 miles each way than ride a train the same distance anyday, but parking in NYC is ridiculous. After living in NYC for a few years, I moved back to my parents house (Putnam County) to save $ to buy a place instead of continuing to rent. I rode the train 50+ miles each way to/from NYC, it was about 3 hours of commuting time each day. It drove me nuts for 1 1/2 years but allowed me to save enough to move closer.....The commute from Putnam County was like $5K right off my salary, $360/month for the train, $50/month for parking at the train station, plus I had a 20 minute drive's worth of gas each way to/from the train station.
  18. Parts of PA, NY, OH, WV are all the same. Not all parts, but there are some interesting parts of each of those states. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
