It’s crazy the things we do during hunting season. I personally stay away from cologne as much as possible. After the season I go back to being a normal human being.

Congrats to those who harvested bucks and does this week on the forum. Late season deer harvest are the best in my opinion.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Never to motivated to hunt during gun season, but went out this morning for short sit in 8h and didn’t see any deer. Waiting for muzzleloader season to start. Now it’s family time , football time and food time.

Went out this morning for about 1hour because I couldn’t sleep. I did see a doe come down from the cut corn field , but at 80 yards moving fast through the woods. I did find a scrape that is still being worked. Good luck to those out there trying to get it done.

Back at same spot this am in 8j , shots here in there. Staying to 900 in the stand and then heading home to cut the deer and watch some football. May the deer force be with you all out there.

Well conclusion to my crazy live from the woods story. I finally see the guy that shot buck this morning in the field around 9:00. I went over to talk him and also see what deer he shot. The guy had kill another buck and it was dead in the field. The reason he didn’t look for first buck he shot in the morning was because he heard me shoot and figured I had put the buck down. The first buck the guy shot in the leg and on top hind leg. The two shot he took didn’t kill deer , and when I saw the buck still crawling and I put one shot in the vitals. Guy was a nice hunter , the guy even help me drag my buck to his truck loaded into his truck and he even drop my buck over my house. Glad to say we both got bucks opening. To God be the glory .

Thanks again guys for the advice. I don’t need enemies, so I will have friendly conversation with the person is he ever show up. In many years of hunting this is my first. Be safe and out there my friends.

Question guys. Some shot at buck and look like they miss , then the buck came into the property I hunting and shot again in the property I am hunting and hit the buck but the buck was crawling and alive. I shot the buck and is dead. Still waiting on the person but hasn’t come my my way. Who keeps the buck? They shot another is laying dead in the field

Today I was off from work and was able to get all my hunting gear ready for tomorrow morning. Going in the morning with my climbing sticks and portable stand. The NE wind should work great for my sit in the morning. Good luck to all tomorrow morning and be safe out there.

Pretty slow here in 8N. Plenty of squirrels running all over the woods. Days like this are mentally stressful. Congrats for to those harvest a deer these few weeks.

Did short sit on a piece of state land in 8n saw a small buck go into the thicket in front of me. Ten minutes later came back at 15 and he got a pass. I saw another deer in the same thicket , but couldn’t tell if it was a buck. The two deer I saw where on the move and nose to the ground. Very thankful to the farmer , who gave permission access the piece of state land from his land because it’s a brutal up hill climb from the parking area. Tomorrow morning going into a piece of private land in 8H. Good luck all .

Congrats to who got it done today . I saw a small buck this morning and yesterday evening saw a bunch of does and busted buck right under my stand. Pretty quiet here in 8j.
