Hmmm! Roughly half the country voted for Trump.  So, does this sound like the words of a Unification Leader or a Genocide Leader?  Appreciate the Dems see Trump as Hitler and his voters as Nazis so this speech to them is morally justified.  Equally, the Reps see this speech is exactly the vitriol Hitler preached about those he didn't agree with and his "voters" were Nazis, so this speech to them is morally reprehensible.

Additionally, using current standards, this sure sounds like threatening hate speech.  Can you impeach a VP?  Can you censor a VP?  Should her social media accounts be locked?

I find it interesting that not one of the usual persons here has reacted to this Harris speech post in the typical fashion of pointing out a DJT speech or trying to defend it.  This was a "call to arms" against half of America.  This speech is unequivocally worse than anything DJT has ever said, and more particularly for which he was impeached (either time).

I agree with your statement/feeling but still keep trying to show them the light. I feel if I let them be to learn from media they will never learn the truth.

Its the same mentality of BLM supporters who turn the blind eye towards rioters and looters and blame us for their issues.

I agree with you too.  If they can be taught to hate, then they have the capacity to be taught not to hate.  Deprogramming is a process and not a single conversation or debate.

Each court is different.  Some won’t reduce the charge, others will only offer a one step reduction (from 3 to 2 points for example) and others will offer a better deal.  I suspect it will be a good offer due to Covid since they don’t want a backlog.  What was the speed and what is the reduced offer?  Either way, you are highly unlikely to beat the ticket so most likely a plea to a reduced charge is your only real option.  And honestly The ADA will usually make the same offer whether you have an attorney or not.  Only if you are on the verge of losing a license does a lawyer make sense in traffic court IMO.

by the way, insurance should only be impacted if the plea is greater than 4pts.

and as a disclaimer, this is not my area but I certainly have helped friends and family on occasion.

This is the best advice and precisely how it works.  When my brother was a kid he got an excessive noise ticket for his hot rod (headers with open pipes).  He plead not guilty and showed up to court with a signed letter from an exhaust shop that on the day of the ticket the exhaust system complied with all NYS codes including noise.  The ADA offered him a reduction to a different equipment violation, which he balked at.  The ADA then explained to him that he was not walking out of there without paying a fine.  It is about the $$$ and not points.  You almost always can trade points for $$$.  Be polite, respectful, and dress appropriately for the court (even if online), and say something like "I understand there is a cost to the court for these proceedings and I have no objection to paying a fine, my only objection is a moving violation with points."

My non white friends are not racist but ignorant because all they ingest is what the media shows. They believe it like the word of God and dont question it.

The media has corrupted the mind set to accept that most whites are naz,i who dont want anyone but whites in america. I have had lengthy arguments about legal immigration vs open borders r amnesty and yet they dont see the bigger picture or issues related to it.

At this point I dont even bother debating with them.

I have no way of knowing if they are racist or not; as I do not know them.  Racists is as racist does.  Racists are ignorant by definition, having a belief about  someone based on race/physical attribute without knowing anything about the individual person.  Racism is always taught, children are not born with it.  Your friends seem to have been taught by the MSM.  If "they believe it like the word of God and don't question it" (your words), then doesn't that sound like a Nazi, KKK member, Al-Queda, etc.

The biggest proof that neither side cares about the general public is that they dont want term limits. Be it republican or demos..

Only in the orifice to line their pockets and serve the lobbying agenda.

I am an anomaly when I am not white but most of my friends are white. It amazes me that sometimes when the sentiments of some in my community lumps all white as racist. I have reached a point where I mingle more with my white friends than those of my own ethnicity because of their stupidity.

Agree and feel the same regarding term limits.  I even advocate a minimum age of 28-30 years.  This allows the potential politician to get a college degree, military service, & real world/life employment experience.  I also advocate for an age maximum (undecided on what but max at 65).   This country does not need geriatrics like Pelosi and McConnell.  They have lost touch with reality and the populace.

Perhaps your friends have unfortunately drank the kool aid and are brainwashed.  Interesting story.  An acquaintance of mine who is white (A) has a friend who is non-white (B).  A and B fish together and socialize and consider each other good friends. B had a 4th of July party and did not invite A.  A was upset and confronted B.  B advised that he did not invite him because Bs other friends and family are racist and he did not want to expose A to it.  Racism is perpetrated by ALL races, not just whites.

What have you heard and seen so far that sounds far-fetched? This is exactly what I would like to research.  My belief is that the mail-in voting  done at such a large scale- first time in the history of our elections that it was conducted to the extent that was evidenced in 2020-opened the door for massive fraud to be perpetrated because signature matching, for one, was less fastidious.  Also, I'm wondering about the fake ballots that were reported.  That's an age-old trick thats been going on since the inception of our democracy and I have no doubt that it contributed as well but, can it be proven?

I was referring to the Giuliani press conferences on this (I won't repeat his theory); not what you have just posted  regarding mail-in.

^^^^ If you're saying it has been a lobbying war between NYBHs and NYCC, you're correct.  Another dirty little secret about this issue is it has mainly become a war between legislators from upstate and the greater NYC area, with the later having the most votes &/or influence. If it's such a "hot potato" issue, why the legislators don't simply grant the DEC the power to make Xbow regulations, seasons, definitions, etc...!??! Too logical...?

Give DEC the power = logical.  Legislators giving up power to DEC = illogical

  9. Election fraud happens in every election.  That is a fact everyone needs to acknowledge or you are being dishonest or naive.  Is it "widespread"?  Well, if one district in each state had some fraud, it arguably could be called "widespread".  IMO, "widespread" is not so important.  What is important is the magnitude of the fraud, district wise or collectively.  Essentially, would the extent of the fraud change the outcomes?  Everything I have heard & seen so far sounds a bit far fetched and not proof of a stolen election.  I am not condoning this and would fully support election securities to further prevent or stop election fraud of any kind.  Secure honest elections are necessary for a democracy.

He won't.  When it becomes a total war out there, he'll claim it's a state issue and the Governor has to stop it.  Just the opposite of what they said when they wanted to trash Trump over it.

The Governor on down is to blame for ANTIFA/Portland, not Trump or Biden.  Federal troops cannot go into a state unless the Governor expressly requests it of POTUS.  This is the law of our republic.  This is the same BS political move they pulled on Busch with Hurricane Katrina.  The Governor never requested troops, Busch could not send them, and then the MSM labeled Busch a racist for not sending troops.

Those people dont know what they want ; they are Anarchists, pure and simple and are devoted to nothing but causing trouble( Anti-Fascists my Ass!).  Has Biden condemned the riots in Portland from the other day yet? Anyone know? He better cuz  remaining silent is often interpreted as tacit approval or,  tolerance at the very least ; placating these idiots will do nothing but embolden them IMHO.

I find it interesting that yesterday the WH Press secretary announced Biden was going to go after Domestic Violence Groups, create a list, and a LE communication network to share information.  At the same time, ANTIFA is raging in Portland, with no mention.

Looking to start scheduling some of my vacation time.  I've been doing a ton of research on early season seems like the first 4 day can be the best time to tag a big buck besides the rut.  I like the idea of the woods being pretty empty since most people hold off towards the rut for vacation.  I think you would need to have a good pattern on one for it to work.

    What are your thoughts?

Agree, it can be, provided the bucks are on a known feeding pattern that you are aware of.  If just going in "blind", appreciate vegetation is still very thick and more luck (right place, right time) than anything.  Depending on your area, also consider it is warm(er), so very early & late movement and more ticks.

  13. This will NEVER EVER pass.  First, this law currently does not even exist for LE.  Second, there are states that do not require a permit for concealed carry, and all the language is around permits.  If it ever did, it would be nullified by local laws.  Think about it.  A NYS carry permit is not valid in NYC.  You will have all your local governments passing laws against concealed carry.

Understandable.  When I saw the video, I appreciated this is our Capitol and our government, and was reminded of the acronym SNAFU!  Also, sorry if you do not know what it means, it's too vulgar to print out.

I saw a report of some National Guard troops were herded into an underground DC parking garage, because some Democrat got his panties in a bind and complained over a Guardsman not wearing a mask. More details on Breitbart. Disgraceful to our troops. Oh well, people voted/cheated these garbagemen, including the head janitor, into office. Maybe our esteemed "Journalists " will question the head janitor on this disgraceful treatment of servicemen and women....oh wait a minute...he's taking a basement nap...

What do you expect from a government that considers our servicemen and women, potential domestic terrorists?

The only Negative  that,I  can see is more competition  on Public with established  Archers who won't  be happy that perhaps more new Deer Hunters will also be Scouting out that Big Public Buck they have their eye on...

IMO, this is the MAIN (and possibly only) reason this has not passed in the past.  Only Archers are opposed to it, and those that hunt private land shouldn't be affected.

It’s been reported widely, by both left and right leaning journalists. News and media literacy is not a trivial matter. It’s difficult and it takes practice to become good at finding reputable and rigorous news sources. Everything that has ever been written has a perspective and intent, no matter how small or benign it may be. Know that and proceed with caution. Read broadly. Understand that Facebook and other similar distributors of media are in the business of compelling you to click and are generally disinterested in education or informing you.

...and it is exactly this type of journalism in the MSM (CNN, FOX, etc) that causes distrust and justifiably earns the label Fake News.  Fake News doesn't need to be entirely false facts, it includes reporting with opinions, omissions, and deception.

When you start believing everything you hear from any one side, group, religion, etc. you will be doomed.  Everyone needs to listen to things with an open but skeptical mind.  Doesn't matter what side you are on or what subject it's about.  From what I see there are plenty on the political forum here that have been brainwashed out of their minds.  And I'm not talking only about the liberal minded folks around here either.  Many here on the right side of the aisle think only those on the left are the brainwashed ones, but I've got some news for them.

Your description well describes a cult and those that have "drank the kool-aid".  All the politicians are pseudo cult leaders and blindly following the political party is like being in a cult.   There is clearly some of this, as well as what I call tribalism.  My tribe is either Dem or Rep and I need to defend "my tribe".  We all would be better served with some self-reflection to make sure that is not our behavior.  We all should be objectively debating, policies, plans, and actions; and the pros and cons of same for America.

Sorry i meant Medicaid. I always confuse the two.....

How much does New York spend on Medicaid?
New York spends more than $60 billion a year on its Medicaid program, second only to California, which spends $85 billion. The state's Medicaid costs have historically been high because the program that insures the poor and disabled offers more generous benefits than other states.

It also has no established residency eligibility requirement.    The poor and disabled from other states are eligible for NY Medicaid benefits the very day they come to NY and make this their new residence.

Isn't this a wonderful business model for NY?  NY has a benefits package to attract poor and disabled from other states and at the same time a tax package that drives business, employment, and retirement  to other states!

I've always wanted to get a setup with over / under sights !  Where the Iron Sights were under the Scope and could be used for the " Quick Shot " without the time it takes for "sighting in " the scope . Back in the days of " Drives " a quick shot was necessary !

This is only good in theory.  You actually do not get the best of both worlds.  Here are the problems.  The comb height of the stock will not be ideal for both and shooting consistently will suffer.  An open sight firearm has a comb height (low) to match.  Ideally, you want your scope mounted as low as possible, so line of sight and trajectory are optimized, and Over/Under sights do the opposite, they elevate scopes and the comb height is insufficient for proper fit/cheek weld.  Longer distance shooting requires more precision/fit.  The Over/Under sights also surround the open sight picture diminishing field of view and creating tunnel vision.

The best solution is an appropriate quality low power scope as explained by SpacemanSpiff above and properly setting it up as explained by Culver Creek Hunt Club above.

DD I am a hunter and fisherman and you are right about the costs . But the value of being out there in the outdoors is just PRICELESS ! They just dont understand the  peace of mind that it gives us .

Absolutely ! Just every moment out in the woods or on the water is so much fun . It just doesn't get any better than being out there .

SNH I too am a hunter and fisherman and feel the same way.  When I am out there I am in complete peace and have no worries on my mind.  Just truly being in the moment and part of nature.  The experience and memories lasting a lifetime.  The best response to people is "if I have to explain it you won't understand"; only like minded people understand.  I agree it is PRICELESS and to me that explains and justifies all the money and time I spend in these pursuits.
