No .I’m doing all the finishing .They milled it all t&g.

This is all Ponderosa pine right out of the Rockies .

Redoing a section of the house to house my mounts and other outdoor decor . Had a mill out of Colorado do some Beetle kill pine ,also had a nice mantle made out of it .Delivery came In . I still have to finish it all .pic on top is what it looks like finished

Boys ,go through the hunting forums,nothing but a ghost town on them .All the popular threads currently have nothing to do with hunting whatsoever just about . Maybe restrict the politic section from being sent to the top of the new threads ?

Maybe ,the same hunting topics cause people to leave too . The greatest thread this place has is “live from the woods “. You hunt for x amount of years ,how many times do you want to see on a forum 1-what’s the best bow to shoot 2-what’s the best turkey shot for a 12ga 3-mechanicals or fixed Ect ,ect. All Imo of course .I’d enjoy it either way .It does add some spice though lol.

I think the political section definitely has an affect on how you look /think about others.Sometimes it’s best to not even know someone else’s political affiliation .At the same time ,it’s keeping this place alive .Look at feedback from it .

Maybe I’m not seeing what you are on your end ,I open this site up and see multiple threads ,I can choose anyone to open freely .At no time do I feel like I have any thread shoved down my throat .I say this with respect ,I know sometimes typed messages can come off differently,or maybe just my wording lol .

Agreed to a point .Believe it or not ,it has not been that bad compared to other sites I’ve seen .Some name calling but over all ,not bad . I believe politics in this State ,and what he love to do (hunt ,ect)go hand in hand .We can all ignore that and go about our lives and act like everything is perfect ,but it won’t help us in the long run to ignore it all .

I was under the impression that any new post ,within a thread ,gets shot to the top when I open the forum up .Like I said ,this forum will die out with just hunting related content for 365 days .as much as I love Hunting ,Fishing and Trapping ,that would get boring .But to each their own.Like you said ,you don’t have to open the thread . For actual info on useful hunting techniques or other important info ,there should be a archives section if there isn’t one already . Over zealous moderators can kill a good forum quick .I’d leave it the way it is .

And some of you guys whine about topics that you don’t like ,don’t open the thread if that’s the case .

You have a straight hunting forum all year ,this place will die quick .
