WNYBuckHunter
Its finally closing day. We did the walk through yesterday and noticed that the things that had been fixed were shoddily done. Other things werent done at all. These people are unbelievable. We asked that they fix what they could last noght, and I got ahold of the guy that did the shoddy work. The guy will be coming out tomorrow to make good on the repairs. The ding dong seller cut the roof vent screens to get rid of the bees nests clogging them (which they agreed to in the sale), so we are asking for a credit so I can have them fixed. I just cant wait to get it all set and have these people out of my life. What an ordeal this has been. Time to move on to the joys of home ownership lol. LOL I thought i was having a difficult time with a house search over the past two years. Don't be pissed but I saw a friend in the grocery store last week and she said her parents were ready to sell there place finally. I went and looked at it on Monday Took a second look Tuesday and took some measurements. Called them on Wednesday and talked over a verbal sale owner to owner with out Realtors (slimy bastards). Talked to the Lawyer, bank, home inspector today. Picking up a purchase offer from the lawyer tomorrow. The best part is that the owners have taken immaculate care of the place. I will have to do almost nothing to this place with the exception of a new paint color or two. Its got a new tank-less hot water heater, new appliances, sun room and new porch built like a brick $^&%# house. Oh and it is WAY and i mean WAY under priced. WNYBuckHunter
Good luck Cummins. We ended up getting a few hundred back from the sellers for the vent problems and the contractor that botched the other work is coming over tomorrow to make it right. I spent the evening picking up cleaning supplies, getting prices on all new door knobs and deadbolts, etc. Ill be meeting the contractor there tomorrow and getting going on my first few projects.
