I ended up with a browning a-bolt stalker and I have a Bushnell elite 3-9 to go on it.

Well just got back from picking it up. OMG I bought it off guns america. Opened the box. And what I saw amazed me. 7mm rem mag?????? I called the dealer in Florida. And was told they don't even have any more. I have a reciept in hand for a 325 wsm WTF

On a serious note,that really sucks! What are they going to do about it? They should cover all costs for that screw up.

Thats a nice rifle. Browning Abolts have Howa barrels and are very very accurate. My 270 Winchester A-bolt is a tack - driver. If you got a decent deal on it, the 7mm mag is a powerhouse. I'm pretty sure they will pay shipping costs. They should also be willing to get another one in 325 wsm.

That sucks....Paid for an 8mm Mag and got a 7 mm Mag....You got SCREWED by a millimeter... Hope you get things straightened out to your satisfaction..

OK well the 7mm is on its way back to Florida. The dealer finally found me another 325. Gana cost them more, but not my problem. Be here next week.

Do you intend to reload for it ? I'd suspect you would want a stoutly constructed bullet.

For years about the only 8MM cartridge commonly available stateside was the 8x57 or 8MM Mauser. Bullets designed for that cartridge might be pretty explosive at magnum velocities, especially the lighter ones such as the 150-180 grainers.

Yes I am reloading. Right now I am loading 200gr nosler accubonds. I do know a guy whp is loading the 160 barnes tripple shot, and loves them.

The accubond would be a sound choice..Good rugged bonded bullet..

And of course the Barnes X series is a classic..I am a huge fan of that bullet. It allows you to go to a lighter projectile, hence higher velocity and flatter trajectory without compromising penetration....
