RangerClay
I went to the sporting goods section of Walley World to get my does tags. When I step to the counter there is a guy in line ahead of me. I immeadiately notice that the black girl with the deep southern draw behind the counter has absolutely no idea what she is doing. Guy: I have lifetime license, I just want a doe permit. Girl: A whaaaaat? Guy: A doe permit. Girl: Ok. (starts typing on the keyboard) You want what agin? Guy: A doe permit. I want it for 8G Girl: Ok. (Looking even more confused, starts playing on the computer again) Girl: Would jew like a one day or seven day permit? ??? I start laughing out loud. The guy just rolls his eyes at me. The girl then freezes up the computer and two managers cannot fix it. I leave shaking my head and go to Herb Phillipson for my permit. Mr VJP
I would've asked her to tell me how she was able to get this particular job here.
First-light
So how many of you find this post offensive to our African American fellow hunters?? Don't shoot me, just asking.
burmjohn
I think he was referring to the southern drawl, not race.
bushnell
I agree with Burmjohn. Race had nothing to do with it. It was the southern accent and the fact that she had no idea what she was doing working in the sporting goods section.
ELMER J. FUDD
I saw a guy waiting to pick up his shotgun at wally world. This is what he said in front of the sporting goods clerk who was getting it. "I gotta get them before they come for me. I don't give a #*-#, I gotta be ready" -
RangerClay
Nothing racist intended. We have a ton of military wives from the south that work in WalMart. The fact that she was black was just part of the story.
Mr VJP
Offense can not be given, only taken. These days, one can not even mention the fact a person is of a certain race, lest they be chastised for it. But in truth, it had nothing to do with the story and didn't have to be mentioned.
