Mock Rubs/Scrapes

Cedar is not all that common. There is one spot where there are 10-15 mature trees. The idea is to put a licking branch and possible rub tree in a conspicuous spot. The bucks can't seem to be able to resist it. I read about it in a Steve Bartylla article a few years ago. I didn't use any scent. It appears that the opportunity is enough and now that bucks have worked the set there is all the scent i need.

what did you do saw off a hefty branch of cedar and stick it into the ground?

if so, i dont believe i have any cedar trees around unless i nab one from my neighbors hedgerow haha so im going to my local hardware store and buying a 4x4 cedar post and clipping some cedar branches and wiring them up to the post for licking branches.
