Bowhunting Magazine

I am new to bowhunting and I am looking for a good magazine to subscribe to and maybe some good informative books on bowhunting. I figured this would be the best place to ask because over the last couple years I have received some good info from you guys. Thanks in advance.

Mags are almost useless...lots of repeats. But, there are a few worth checking out.

Deer & Deer Hunting (not as good as it used to be but still the best in terms of general info)

Bow & Arrow Hunting (by far the best archery focused mag out there - some western info, but lots of technical and hunting info useful for easterners)

Quality Whitetails (QDMA's journal...not so much for QDM...but moreso the science and the plant, environment info is primo...worth the subscription price)

Books:

John Eberhart's books...bowhunting pressured whitetails...basically all of his books.

Bil Vale's book is also good

Brad Herndon - Mapping Trophy Whitetails - real useful for topo reading and wind use

Peterson Bowhunting magazine is a good one. Still have all my copies from years ago and chucked full of usefull info. Bow and Bowhunting magazine was good too, but they turned me off when they sent me a cheap video and belt buckle without my request. Then they sent me a bill for some inflated amount wanting me to buy or send it back. I kept the stuff and never renwed the subscription again. What nerve.

I second the Bow and Arrow magazine recommendation. There is none better from a technical perspective relating to equipment and form. It also has excellent articles.

I usually read maybe 2 bowhunting magazines a year that I get for my birthday.
