eagle rider
If anyone is looking for a great load,... This one is a jackpot.....62 grs of RL19 beneath a 150 gr Nosler BT. Primer, Win LR. COAL 3.35. This shot consistently through my Red Hawk Rifles Alaskan, and my friends Vanguard S1 Backcountry. Accuracy was within a tenth of an inch between the two rifles. MV in the Vanny was 2984 and 2996 in the Alaskan. Both groups were well under SubMOA, and in the neighborhood of .5".
Lawdwaz
It is ONLY a jackpot for your two guns. If anybody wanted to try that "load" they should only obviously work up to it SLOWLY......... Glad it shot well for you guys. Any big plans for those guns this year or all local stuff?
Pygmy
Lawdwaz gives good advice, as usual... I did not even look up that load in my manual, but I know that 59.0 of RL 19 in my .280 with a 140 is getting kinda warm, so I suspect that 62.0 in a 30-06 with a 150 is getting up near max... Proceed slowly and cautiously..
eagle rider
Actually I believe 63.5 is the max loading in the Nosler Guide. Hunting in NY and Virginia,... Usual stuff. The ranch in Virginia will give me a chance to stretch the legs on the 30-06 with this load.
