Long Island Deer Movement

Didnt see any deer tonight. No ticks on me all day either. I think there are less and less ticks on the island every year. I was even walking around today in jeans scouting and i didnt have one tick on me. Gonna be back at it in the morning.

Just had a nice buck come in to 40 yards. He heard or smelt something he didnt like turned around and went back way he came. Story of the season for me. He was 10 strides from death. Damn.

Sorry to hear. Saw a ton of does tonight but no bucks. My brother was 100 yards away and he had a nice 8 come in but got winded and the deer walked off. Hunting alone tomorrow morning hopefully withe the bad weather they will be moving good!!

I will be out as well. Same stand as tonight. Getting in early...hoping for a change in luck. Oh and that buck was the only deer I saw all day. Came in on grunt. Still can't figure out why he spooked.

Same here didnt see one deer today. Not hunting tonight. Ill be back out next weekend an the following week in between christmas and new years. Wind was killer this morning and probably had them all bedded.
