Salmon_Run
Nicely done, I butcher two last weekend and made, jerky, sausage and smoke two hams whole after being brined in salt water and maple syrup for 4 days......then a gentle apple wood smoke over 8 hours and heaven for the holiday table. Deerthug
Never tried to smoke venison. .....How would I do a couple hind roasts???? I just have a plain CharBroil smoker. Non propane I plan on slow cooking my hind roasts. You can get a 6qt crock pot at Walmart for $40. I've been using mine for pulled pork. Going to try pulled venison this winter. growalot
My daughter has gotten into smoking meats on her small charcoal smoker...she smoked a 20# turkey and then roasted an 8# turkey breast(back up) for Thanksgiving....that turkey came out of the smoker blacker than tar...but OMG it was moist and had a wonderful smoked flavor....I'm going to get her to smoke a ham from the next deer I get Pulled venison from the crock pot is a favorite here....I do both the BBQ one and the "beef on wick" type...hhhmm good
