UA22Plumber
Behind my house is a small "field" i guess you could call it. Then a dirt berm divides it from the larger 15 acre field behind. At the corner of the small field is where i walk by the base of the berm to get back to the other field. The deer also use this access as well. I have only seen deer in the small field behind my house twice in the year and a half i have lived here. However the heavily trampled deer trail leads my to assume they are out there in the dark. A few days ago on my way back to the house from my stand this caught my eye. These photos are literally 90 yard from my back door. I have pictures of two big bucks, but one i know has been hanging around because i got within 50 yard of him chasing three does on the large field on the last day of bow season, and then got a picture of him right in front of my stand the monday after gun opener. The photos are of fresh rub activity, one has my house in it to show how close it is an the last is of the beaten path. arrow nocker
main bedding is my back yard.60 yards from my back door.there is a doe that has bedded there for ever it seems. She has twins every yr.I only once had a chance to take her but decided not to.She brings the bucks into that thick crap.I usually stay out of there till gun.neighbors kinda messed it up this yr.But it isn't over yet,
growalot
Read an article about the second rut staring...late Nov. through early Dec.....Had that 6pt out with the girls last night and a whole lot of noise from other deer back in the woods he had come out of..Never saw those deer...thinking could have been more buck ..waiting for it to get dark before entering the field?? This is usually the time I start seeing the rubs open up....always few rubs early during bow and first week of gun
