Has anybody ever hunted the ushers rd state land in saratoga county

It gets pushed throughout the season

I have hunted that during archery saeson; it get regularly pushed during rifle. The area is also open to hikers, dog walkers and mountain bikers so extra caution is needed. It is a relatively small path of woods....

Salmon ever see deer there I put a couple full days in years back. Didn't see much

Early bow I have seen deer there; but not during rifle season. The cover is sparse and it is a really small size chunk of land....It is good to go there with the kids as the walking is flat and easy. Chance of harvesting a deer with a rifle is very limited.....

Keep in mind you can only shot gun or muzzle loader in there.

Understood, however the town of Clifton park does not permit rifles. I know this from first hand experience.

Won't uphold in court though. I have talked to officers and they have said so. This is a grey area. It should be in the reg book. Like the bow only areas etc.

Wouldn't Hold up in court? Seriously !....

Anyone, if you want to hunt there just make a phone call to the town clerk. The DEC officer I ran into was great and explained the town ruling to me. Lessoned learned for me.
