Life is good Today

So i took part of the morning off today and hunted a field up the road that had about 2-3 hundred geese in it for about a week. Not only did we shoot 18 birds (could of shot our three man limit but wanted to get out of thier early so some birds will still use the field) but I also shot my first banded bird, it was banded in Virginia June of last year.  As always with waterfowl hunting when we were picking up we still had birds in the air trying to land in the field.  About an hour after we picked up I passed the field again on my way to work and I saw about 50 geese back in the field already..... Hopefully friday will be a good day as well.

congrates on the band they are hard to get birds are nice but bands are better keep up the good work

thanks... most people don't understand how hard it is to shoot a band, even in hunting circles, but i guess even a blind one finds a nut once in a while right? lol

Thank you it only took about 4 years of hard waterfowl hunting with a year off last year just didn't have time to go out at all.  However got a new pup and new burst of energy in hopes of one day watching her work.... shooting the band help boost it a lil bit too lol
