We just had a bucket of fish given to us pickerel and perch...fresh caught up North......Son and some friends said they were hitting hard the last couple of days and it was COLD!....Got some filleting to do

Nothing like fried perch fillets. Pickerel are tasty, but boney; grind those for some of the best fish cakes ever!

I am heading to Chaumont tomorrow. Hear they are doing well there. But, I will probably get skunked again.

They were some place in the thousand Islands..Got a hotel in stead of a cabin...ppl at the bait place said it was slow...but they got luck in choosing a spot...line barely hit the water and they were catching them

Probably Chippewa Bay or Goose Bay? I was just redoing a deck on Goose Bay tuesday, about 5 inches of ice, forgot my darn poles, lol.
