2Week camping trip

We are planning a 2 week trip to Franklin County and have been looking at some what sound to be nice campgrounds.We have narrowed it down to 2 different ones.My choice is pineridge the wifes is buckpond possibly a week at each but I would rather set up one time for the 2 weeks.Maybe you'all have other suggestions we may take interest in.This will be the first 2 weeks of June 2013

I've never been to pineridge, but buck pond is a great place to visit. However, you will want to be on Lake Kushaqua, not the smaller buck pond. I like to fish and Kushaqua is excellent for that. I've stayed on the Island a few times (there are only 2 sites R1 and R2 which you need to boat or canoe a few hundred yards from the boat launch to get there but well worth the peace and quiet) I've also stayed on a shore site via car. Great fishing and room to explore via canoe, boat.

I know both places well; I worked at Buck Pond when I was in college. Nice camp ground. Both lakes have good fishing, I like the pond better early morning and just before dark it holds nice size large mouths. pine ridge is about 10 miles from my home; sister n brother in law have a camp there along with mother in law and many friends. This camp ground has a more family style camping; they have a pool n a play ground. Kids are free to play by themselfs. The salmon river runs through it. Malone n Massena are close by if u would like to shop, also Plattsburgh is a hr away. Both are good choices. Have fun.
