Weed wiper

Hi All,

 

I just ordered a weed wiper:

Instead of waling around my plots with a weed whacker and just toping the weeds I'll wipe them with a bit of roundup and kill them.

 

Anyone else use a weed wiper for this?

Am I correct in thinking this attaches to a sprayer (backpack or hand held) and you wipe the weeds as you walk along, instead of spraying with a wand? If so, should work well for you. I've heard of people making them for ATV boom type sprayers.

I have seen a tractor mounted version 8' wide. Never a hand held
