plan on taking my 9 year old son out with me on sunday. he has always wanted to be with me when i shot a turkey. weve tried for a few years and weve never been able to connect with a bird. think my best option is to setup around 830 or 9 in the same general area i shot my bird on thursday. he did come in with 2 other longbeards so im hoping they made it thru the weekend!

We've been seeing toms and jakes running with hens until around 10ish depending on weather. Today was overcast and foggy, all the action was first light because the birds couldn't see each other. Didn't hear a peep after the fog cleared. I've hunter 8 out of the 9 days mostly until 10 or so because of work but the guys I talk to have been out non-stop and that is what they are seeing. Unless you know where they are sleeping its best for you to sleep in. Good luck hope you show him how it's done.

We shall see. Plans have changed as i was supposed to be buying a truck. Sold my jeep with the plan of having the truck on the road in a day. Well we are now going on week 3 of not getting paid so....my season might be done already :/
