Burris Fastfire sight on handgun for deer hunting?

Anyone have any experience with the Burris Fastfire sight?

I have a Ruger 41mag and my older eyes can't see the iron sights anymore.

I have tried a 2x handgun scope and it shoots fine but I would prefer something smaller.

These sights are not cheap (in the $250 range).

Would they help for deer hunting or would I be wasting my money?

I dont see how it would hurt as long as you remember to turn it on.

                      Have no experience with that particular holo sight but I have this on a TC .308cal handgun and it is great.  Handles the recoil from this hand cannon no problem.  Many reviews I read about this claimed how tough it is and I believe it.  They can be had for about 175 with rings and have a lifetime warrranty. I believe it is a 5 moa red dot with adjustable brightness.  I have had no issues of being able to see the dot even in the brightest conditions.
