they don't drag small though. Like jelly with bones.

bear's eating berries are delicious. Those eating dump or fish, not so much. Just about any meat is decent in sausage though. Just test for parasites or cook real well. Bear grease rendered from the fat is also highly sought after.

When do you harvest the fat? Do you scrape it off when skinning? I have seen some videos on skinning or gutting bears but it never shows fat harvest. Should I get one, I'd like to keep that fat.

I've seen people scrape the fat and put it in a game bag when skinning/gutting.

Thanks. I guessed it was something like that but just haven't seen it explicitly described.
