New plot

Recommended Posts

Started brush hogging an older pasture on our property that has a good source of food already. Its about 3 acres and there are some decent apple trees, cherry trees, walnut, and alfalfa/timothy/clover already there so for now I'm just working on mowing and pruning. I think it has good potential for killing a good buck since its located between my corn field and soybean field and i believe would act as more of a staging area. It's also adjacent to a primary bedding area. This spot would be ideal for morning hunts primarily as it should be more favorable for the wind. I'll try to get a few pics up.

Here are some pictures from the new plot. It's pretty wet in most spots so I haven't been able to brush hog too much. Have already been seeing deer in it. Just need to get the cams up over there. You can see some of the mature apple trees in the picture. The cherry trees were behind me so they aren't in the picture. The big walnuts are along the field edge where it's wet. The first picture shows a hedgerow where the primary bedding area is. Hoping it dries up a little so I can do a little more mowing.
