Camping is out for the NC trip i told you all about, well i found a Motel in Maggie Valley for $45 a night.(hope its not to buggy)

   I think i have chickened out on Tail of the Dragon but still will make a run to Ten. for the snake. I will be on that side for 5 days then i will go over to Carolina beach for a week Pygmy suggest i stop in SC for seafood and i do have plans for that, maybe i can find his mermaid...lol

 A friend just got back from the Outer Banks and said i should go, I wanted to and hope i do.

  Time is dragging and wish i could go sooner

Except for several months on 2 Mediterranian Cruises , I spent 4 years in North Carolina ( Camp LeJeune ) . It was ticks , chiggers , mosquitoes and sand fleas !

 

Enjoy your trip ! It's nice around Ashville . Spent a week in Hilton Head on a time share . It's real flat . We rented bicycles and rode them all over the place .

 

There is a Bass Pro shop in Raleigh and one in Concord North Carolina . There are 5 Bass Pros in Tennessee .

 

Beware of those cheap Motels ! We found one in Virginia and my wife still refers to it as "The Bates Motel" .....

I think its a competitive thing between a few Motels on the strip because there are 4 that are the same price with this being the peek season. They are older motels but all i car about is sticking to the carpet and being safe. The Owner took my call and also lives in the Motel and i mentioned i was going to be alone so she will put me next to the office where they are also living. That was nice of her. I was down there 3 yrs ago but still a few things i want to do and still have family around there.

Paula --- It's referred to as the "Peak" season . The "peek" season is when someone taps on your window and looks in .

It wasn't so much wanting to be a spelling Nazi as wanting to get the "PEEK" in for you previously mentioning the tapping on the window .
