noodle one
Took a trip down to the west branch Delaware this morning and had some good fishing for three and one half hours. Went 2 for 4 . Had four hook up and lost two with two landed.. First hook up was a bruiser of a fish.Had him on for four or five min. before breaking off my line at the hook. After his first run at hookup he made three more runs and was just pounding on my rod. I use a thirteen foot noodle rod. The only thing that upset me was I never got to see how big he was because I never got him in close enough to see. The next hook up was a 16" brown that I landed , nice and fat.The third one was another brown of 20" in that I landed. The last hook up of the the day was a rainbow that came out of the water a good 2' to 2 1/2 ' feet before getting off. All in all a good morning fishing
sweet old bill
love to fish the west branch, my Dad took me there many times in the 50's to fish. Now at 71, I still can think back and see him and me walking on the banks, fishing the area right near route 17 were the west branch runs into the beaverkill. Early
Bill....Are you thinking East Branch? It joins the Beaverkill in East Branch. The West Branch joins the East Branch in Hancock.
