Homemade trail camera Battery pack/charger

This camera has TERRIBLE battery life (im talking about less than a week per set...) so I decided to make a charger for it... its an old laptop cord that I cut... it will be connected to a 6V battery and the battery will be strapped to the tree... (still figuring out that system...)

the silicone is where i used too have a wire going in... that system wasnt very good and it looked bad so I screwed a short bolt into it from the inside and siliconed around it... it works...

Yeah! lol that would require rechargable batteries tho right?

No, the 6v battery packs are already rechargable. Wgi, moultrie and other companies make them along with the solar panels.

I've wondered if an external batt. pack kept in an insulated box would help extend battery life in colder weather.

Im not using a "battery pack" its just a 6V battery from Wally world

Gottcha. Youll save money over the long run with a rechargeable setup.

yeah im sure i will... i dont really like using this camera tho cause its a color flash
