I saw the new regs; 7 shot magazine! Electronic callers!! 1/2 hour AFTER sunset!!! AND 15 BIRDS!!!!

 

I'd like to see the guy that could even CARRY 10 birds out at a time!!  I know many guys that will only hunt a fieeld that they can drive all the way into so carrying isn't too much of an issue but damn, think of the work involved if you did bag a days limit, you could fill a freezer fast.  A guy had better have a plan in place before hand!

 

My days of doing that are pretty much past.  I had enough trouble taking care of my 5 bird limits!  Think of what you'd do with the post-dressed 15 carcases.  I'd really need to make a deal with growie for use of her carcass pit...............grin

I was at camp working on the foodplots and heard a lot of shooting. Someone was into 'em!

We got 13 Sunday. Not bad for the opening of the early season. Not to many birds around yet. Feels weird having more than 3 rounds, but I could get used to it.

I got out Sunday and Monday. Both were crappy days for geese down here in 7m. First day we had two flocks come in and I knocked down 3. The second day was a complete bust. Rain and thunder storms in the distance. Saw one flock probably 3 miles away lol. Not a good day for the geese.

I talked with a friend in Niagara County that was covered with geese LAST week at his house and since Saturday they are gone! 

 

Crazy but I'm sure they'll be back.

O yea, they will be I'm sure. Just a bad couple of days for some reason. I have a buddy up towards Syracuse that said the same thing.
