Red Coyote?

We have seen coyotes in black, white, and every color phase in between.  Red is fairly common in the Adirondacks.  I doubt if they are crossed with wolves, dogs, red foxes, or anything but coyotes.

Hey, I had one of those trotting across my lawn a couple years back (WMU 8N). maybe they're not as rare as I thought.
