Deerthug
Just read this in the NY Post. Great piece. http://nypost.com/2013/09/20/the-futility-of-gun-control/
josephmrtn
Awesome article!!! love what it says about weapon used and points out how joe biden was LOUDLY promoting them earlier this yr LOL "According to law enforcement, Alexis used a shotgun in his rampage. That is a weapon, as it happens, that has been endorsed and promoted by the vice president of the United States. Joe Biden sounded like a pitchman for Remington at a Facebook town hall earlier in the year when he urged a mother concerned about safety: “Buy a shotgun, buy a shotgun.”
Elmo
I hear Obama is going after the Al-Queda because they're clearly violating the high capacity magazine ban.

crappyice
While I agree with the article, what is the mental health solution? All people with a mental health illness should be hospilzed? There are so many people on mood "stabilizing" drugs(antidepressants, anti anxiety, etc), are they considered mentally ill? Can they own firearms if they are taking meds to maintain a normal life? How many present gun owners would refuse their meds if these meds were to remove their guns? Now, you have people who refuse the professional opinion of the mental health profession to keep their guns but now they are more unstable then ever. Banning guns is an easier solution even if they are not the true problem.
Mr VJP
Easier, as in taking the path of least resistance. But like water, following the path of least resistance often leads you right into the sewer. Nobody ever considered the long term damage to society of putting lots of really crazy people on drugs and setting them free. And the leftist progressives refuse to consider the damage society will suffer if they ever achieve their goal of banning all guns from law abiding citizens. The crazy part is thinking it would be OK to do it and just wait to see how it all works out.
