Arrow Flinger Posted September 27, 2013 Share Posted September 27, 2013 Like others have said, its the way your holding your bow. You're probably torqueing it too and don't even realize it. I used to do this and when I bought a 6 inch brace height bow the string would whack my arm every time. I learned real quick the proper way to grip a bow after that! Elmo Posted September 27, 2013 Share Posted September 27, 2013 I have an arm guard that I am going to try today, not that exact one but well see. That's not an arm guard. It's just a sleeve that holds your jacket sleeve tight so your string doesn't touch it. Does very little to protect the arm. An arm guard will also hold your jacket sleeve tight as well, I guess.
