fu2lmao
In the process of finalizing my UTV choice. Anyone tried out a Badboy Buggy? It looks like a golf cart to me. They seem to push it on all the hunting programs. Thoughts?
raymerlo
Golf carts are just that, for playing golf, unless you hunt where it is flat and smooth,no muddy trails, rocks, logs, etc
fu2lmao
Ray, I take it you are not familiar with badboy buggies. They are sold as electric UTV's. I am just saying they look like a golf cart to me. I have no intentions of driving a golf cart into the woods
firehunter48
We had a Polaris electric UTV......biggest P.O.S. ever!!! Had it for one season then traded it back in on a gas one. All sorts of problems with the charging system and had to fill the batteries after every use. Bought the gas one and put one of those muffler silencers on it and the deer can literally care less Edited October 13, 2013 by firehunter48
WNYBuckHunter
It really boils down to what you want to do with them. Just want something to get in and out of the woods with? Electrics work well for that. Want to really haul stuff, or do food plots as well? Gas or diesel all day long. Personally, I wouldnt bother with an electric, but thats because Id want to use it for more than just getting around the property.
Five Seasons
for me i'd prefer the quietness of an electric. but as mentioned, it depends on your terrain.
raymerlo
Not a golfer but I have used them at sporting clays and they can just make it up small hills,we own a couple of atv's and a side by side,we don't drag deer any more, only problem is we can't use them on state lands. And the rest of us have to start putting pressure on our politicians to keep some of the lands that are being purchased with tax dollars be allowed to use atv's, not only snow sleds, after they get done with the adirondacks they are coming for the catskills tell them we want wild forest classification not forever wild. Forever wild is no chain saws, motorized vehicles or generators,no airplanes on certain lakes..Only for the physically fit, that means 99% will never get to see those lands, if your on in years like some of us or a little handicapped, buy a magazine and look at the pictures while the 1% of the physically fit enjoy the experience
