I used them last year and never picked them up after having 3 different shots, all great placement, just not get any penetration. I'm talking like 4 inches at the max. Most hit a rib or literally nicked 1/8inch of shoulder and just stopped. Congrats, glad they worked better for you. I've taken 5 deer total with the 100 Grain Spitfire Maxx and 3 were pass throughs, 2 were not. I hit one deer high in the shoulder and he lived to tell the tale.
