As you know, that isn't what they're designed for.  I can show you a couple trees around where I hunt that have broad heads drilled into the base.  Maybe they were shot at a deer and missed, maybe they went clean through.  I ain't telling.................................................................

 

With the poundage and energy I shoot (and probably you too) recovering anything salvageable is a pipe dream at best.

 

Like you said, 5 to go.  Better order another package...............................................

Got a few imbedded ones on my property. One my BIL missed the deer, shot ahead of it... the deer snapped the arrow off running by.

Don't worry about them on deer though. The one I took SUnday went through a rib on the near side and through the shoulderblade on the far side. All resharpened and back in the quiver.
