need help moving a 1200# safe

I am ready to pull the trigger on a good gun safe but now need to figure out how to move it from the curb inside the house.    guess i need a reliable (and insured) moving company.  Anyone have any personal experience ?

Moved a few . My wife works for a safe co. Gets good prices so most of my friends got them. We moved them ourselves ,however seldom did ours go over 500 pounds that's a 2 or maybe 3 man job if they'er desk type guys. if your going in basement. A 500 pounder is quite easy. In your case I think I'd pay for a pro.

One thing you can lighten it up A LOT by removing the door .

what does a 1200 pound safe look like? I mean, I have a good sized safe but it was maybe 400 or so pounds, and I could move it myself, can't imagine what a 1200 pounder looks like, but sure would love one!

 

One thing I learned, you can NEVER have a big enough safe!

I hope it's going in your basement, donno how many subfloors are rated for 1200 Lbs.

That's a big safe. I just picked one up today a used Winchester 24 gun 507 lbs it was nothing but my brothers is an animal. LOL Took the door off so that was a 100 lbs. off the total.
